Obama plans big economic push: Too little, too late?

i read this article on septemeber 06, 2010 at the website www.cnn.com. It talks about the economical problems. President Obama is planning a new economical plan this week. But it's unlikely that Congress will pass his proposals in the few weeks left this fall.A recent poll suggests the American people are still not feeling any sort of recovery. The poll shows more Americans blame Republicans for the economic mess than Democrats. Obama gave a labor day speech in Milwaukee , Wisconsin. So in Milwaukee, Obama unveiled a $50 billion infrastructure plan to try and create jobs over the long-term by rebuilding 150,000 miles of roads, 4,000 miles of rail, and 150 miles of airport runways. I would like to know if he is serious about this because honestly i dont believe he will do all those stuff in different states. We are having economical problems so how does he think he's going to get the money to do those things.

  1. Topacio strikes again!

Thank you for this post Topacio - I heard a little about this this afternoon, but I was busy so I couldn't really watch the news. If this goes through it would be great because, as expensive as this would be, it would give people jobs as well as fix our road systems. I don't think it will go through at this point - it was a bad idea to wait this late in the game for this proposal. I hope im wrong on that!

  3. I hope Obama just doesn't leave it in a proposal and actually makes it happen. Many people need a job and his proposal would help them a lot.
