Airlines

The Airline industry has been a industry that has met its standards and has not been that much of a powerhouse. Now the airline industry has boosted its position by acquiring AirTran for 1.42 billion dollars. This deal will let South West Airlines enter 37 new cities like Atlanta, New York, and Boston. The AirTran deal is a airline merger that will combine United Airlines and Continental. The new airline will have Untied's name and Continental's logo and will be the world's largest air carrier. Also this new airline will not have bag fee's like the other airlines. Since they combined the two airlines they have no need of charging for bags. As the other leading airlines charge $20 for the first bag and $25 for the second.

I think that this new deal merging the two airlines is a good thing for transport around the world. It will be an honest airline that makes enough from the people buying their tickets than robbing people hundreds of millions of dollars like the other airlines do for baggage. I believe that this airline will be a force to be reckoned with and could help people as much as the economy.

  1. Nice article Omar. It's good to hear that some companies are nice enough not to charge for bags and stuff like that.I'm sure that when people see that there is no charge for luggage, people will immediately join this airline. It seems like this airline is going to be HUGE.
