Today alcohol is the 3rd leading cause of preventable death in the United States. It also contributes to car crashes, suicide, and homicides. So how does our government prevent this type of abuse? More taxes! Yes, double the taxes will add up almost 50 cents a six pack. In my opinion this would be a great idea. Yes 50 cents isn't much but it will make a difference. Instead of Whites dressed as Indians tossing tea over board, We will have crazy drunks robbing every circle k they see stocking up on brew. Hopefully they ll get the picture and buy a water instead. This is a good step towards a safer place to live in.

This is a good topic. I hope that this new tax increase will prevent people from buying alcohol, and not promote theft. I mean alcohol isn't that expensive, which is probably why a lot of people buy it so often. If the prices are raised, maybe people will think to buy a 99 cent iced tea instead. :)
