Shortage on Lethal injection.

There are 35 states that use the lethal injection, sodium thiopental, which is a drug that makes the prisoner go unconscious before they die. Lately the states Kentucky and Oklahoma have had to delay the signing of death warrants due to the decreasing amounts of the substance. Arizona has had to look for the substance beforehand in order to go through with the sentence. Washington and Ohio use big amounts of the drugs to carry out the procedure. Due to the lack of the drug, there is a total of 17 executions that are scheduled before the end of Janurary. The company that produces the drug is named Hospira, which is in Illinois. They blame the drug shortage on their supplierof raw materials. They say "We are working to get it back onto the market for our customers as soon as possible." However the earliest they can is Janurary. Using other drugs would not be an option due to lengthy court preecidings.
